Brandt Allen Brant Allen has been a major fixture on the climbing seen for over 2 decades at Joshua Tree,
as well as other Southern California areas. He's best known for his long time working at Nomad Ventures,
Joshua Tree's main climbing store. Brant has since moved from his position at Nomad, but for years,
climbers went to him for their equipment and information. Always helpful and informed, you could
count on Brant to usually be able to answer your questions.
Brant has climbed extensively in the Western United States, and his spirit of adventure and motivation have made Brant a very well-traveled climber. His love of climbing has brought him to the high mountains. Brant has a growing list of alpine climbs, including Lone Pine Peak, Mt. Clyde, Temple Crag, North Peak, Mt. Conness, Mt. Shasta, and South Sister to name a few. Brant lives in Joshua Tree and still climbs extensively, while often traveling to various other climbing areas, Red Rocks being one of his favorites. His circle of friends and knowledge about the climbing world is part of his legacy. Brant is an expert on Joshua Tree and has played a big part in the history of climbing and the lives of climbers at Joshua Tree.
